Interactive Solar System Explorer

Note to customers using Windows Vista® or Windows 7:

The CD copy-protection software which we use to protect the Solar System Explorer does not automatically run properly on Windows Vista® or Windows 7. Thankfully, the company that makes the protection software has provided a fix.

To run Solar System Explorer on Windows Vista® or Windows 7, follow these steps:

  1. Click here to download a zip file containing the fix.
  2. Run the file named "setup.exe" that was included in the zip file you downloaded. (NOTE: You may need to right-click this setup file and select "Run as administrator").
  3. Follow the instructions to install "hlVista" on your computer.
  4. This will put the following icon on your desktop, labelled "HLV Compatibility"
  5. Double-click this icon on your desktop to run "HLV Compatibility."
  6. Click the "Enable Vista Compatibility" button (even if you are running Windows 7).
  7. You can now run the Solar System Explorer.

Unfortunately, you will need to repeat steps 5 and 6 to run Solar System Explorer after having restarted your computer. This lets the Solar System Explorer CD run properly.

We hope that a fix will be available in the future that does not require a separate piece of software to be run each time you restart your computer. To see if a newer fix is available, check back here or visit HexaLock.co.il and click on "Help & Support" to see if there are any new fixes for Windows Vista® or Windows 7.

We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at (423) 894-2677 or email us at .

Sincerely,
